About Verner

A first-generation Los Angeles homegrown LatinX based writer/director. Shaped by the 90’s grunge, and 00’s Internet globalization of communication, his work is often presented through the drama/suspense lens of existential realism. He is a well-rounded individual in his career putting himself on radars such as Ryan Murphy’s Half Initiative Mentee Program, Walt Disney Televisions Creative Talent Development & Inclusion list, the Starz Diversity List, a Viacom Viewfinder finalist, and is listed on the National Association of Latin Independent Producers (NALIP) for U.S. based LatinX Directors to consider. Verner has begun to slowly cross the bridge full force by also working as the Insert Unit Director for Michael Bay’s hit television series The Last Ship and the Executive Produced Marcia Clark ABC legal drama The Fix from co-creators Liz Craft and Sarah Fain. His personal work has garnered accords such as the Grand Prize for his short film Swim along with Best Directing and Best Cinematography. Swim also has a view count of over 2 million and a current non-exclusive license with CineSony for Unlimited runs for Domestic linear cable broadcasts as well as VOD streaming rights on the Sony Movie Channel.
